How It Works

We’ve added an Advanced Light Sampling rendering mode to allow you to create better quality renders in less time. This mode (found in the Render Object > Ray Tracing) can help reduce noise in scenes that use many direct lights and low sample counts. Additionally, Advanced Light Sampling can improve the user experience when real-time GPU denoising is enabled.

Enabling Advanced Light Sampling may cause slightly slower render times per sample. However, you can achieve much higher quality renders with fewer samples, so the net result is faster, higher quality renders.
